SoCal Audi Club Event: Pines to Palms Drive, Sunday Oct 2

Its that time of year again when we celebrate the summer's waning days and look forward to the coming of the glories of autumn. Please join us for the drive from the heat of Coachella Valley, up through the winding roads to Idyllwild and the cool San Jacinto Mountains, and back again with the stunning decent into Palm Desert, otherwise known as the Pines to Palms Highway.

We'll be meeting at our usual starting point, the Starbuck's Coffee parking lot in Banning at 8:00 am on Sunday Oct 2. At 9:00 am sharp we'll launch up into the mountain pass to our first stop, the lovely deck of Cafe Aroma. We'll cool our heels there for a short time, take in the mountain air, and grab a light breakfast. Afterward, there will be time to spend a few minutes walking around Idyllwild and exploring the town. We'll then hit the roads in earnest for the demanding and spectacular drive around the base of San Jacinto and down to the desert floor into Palm Desert.

Our final destination is lunch at Grill-a-Burger, where they serve up some of the valley's best burgers and sweet potato parmesan fries! This drive is one not to miss, as it's one of the most scenic and exciting routes we have here in SoCal. Sign up early, as space is limited to 20 cars. As always, we'll run 2 groups if we have enough entrants: Sport and Touring.
