
Registration is open for the Cascades Autumn Colors Toure!
Saturday, October 1, 2011, Monroe to Leavenworth, and Issaquah, WA
The Cascades Autumn Colors Toure will highlight the fall colors in the Cascade Mountains . This event will be a relaxing fun run and driving day in a social environment, filled with many opportunities to photograph and enjoy the colorful forests, lakes, meadows, rivers, and waterfalls of the Cascades.
This event will close out the 2011 Audi Club Northwest toure season. Beginning in Monroe and ending in Issaquah, this Toure will follow a 285 mile circuitous route through the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie and Wenatchee National Forests, over Stevens, Blewett, and finally, Snoqualmie Passes . Drivers may choose to enjoy any or all portions of the Toure as desired.
Late September and early October are prime time for fall colors, and the route goes through areas of cottonwood, maple, mountain ash, and yellow aspen trees. The drive includes some lesser known and little used twisty and colorful roads near Leavenworth and/or Cle Elum. The event will include a BYOF (bring your own food) lunch in a beautiful fall setting at Lake Wenatchee State Park .
